Merry-Go-Round is an attempt, possibility, ideal foundation of a new path which transforms and molds the complex and indistinct chaos of  the sounds of the soul.

Merry-Go-Round is not just an ensemble, but rather an investigation on the sound, rhythm and freedom of expression in the contemporary music languages. Marta Raviglia, Stefano Dallaporta and Simone Sferruzza confront each other on a mutual  unpredictable field which is laced with tripwires and they strive from time to time to find survival strategies. A rigid division of the roles does not make sense any more – all of them look for a union in the diversity and in the peculiarity of their instruments which become means through which music evolves and subverts.

Tre musicisti in cerca d’avventure indimenticabili. Oppure tre cantastorie che tentano di raccontare storie impossibili, fuorvianti. Merry-Go-Round è memoria del passato e costruzione del futuro. Merry-Go-Round è tentativo, possibilità, ideale fondamento di un cammino nuovo che trasforma e plasma il marasma complesso e indistinto dei suoni dell’anima.

Merry-Go-Round non è solo un gruppo, bensì un laboratorio di ricerca sul suono, sul ritmo e sulla libertà espressiva nei linguaggi musicali legati alla contemporaneità. Marta Raviglia, Stefano Dallaporta e Simone Sferruzza si confrontano alla pari su un terreno di gioco imprevedibile, disseminato di trappole e si ingegnano di volta in volta per rintracciare delle strategie di sopravvivenza. Una netta divisione dei ruoli non ha più ragione d’essere – i tre cercano l’unione nella diversità e nelle peculiarità dei loro strumenti che divengono mezzi attraverso cui la musica evolve e sconvolge.
