Marta Raviglia and Simone Massaron play songs. By choice. They swirl around them. They cajole melodies. They confront harmonies. They improvise. And then they go back to songs.

Marta Raviglia and Simone Massaron twist the songs and let themselves upset by  them. They interpret and reinterpret to survive, not to celebrate. They avoid mere decoration.  They avoid all baroqueisms because they yearn for the void, space, silence. They strive for the precision of the gesture, the synchronicity of the breath. There  the limits of the senses dissipate. There lives the sound to dictate the strategies of the feelings.

In their repertoire original tracks live splendidly with old-timey pieces, timeless hits, romantic arias and cruel blues.

Marta Raviglia e Simone Massaron suonano canzoni. Per scelta. E ci girano intorno vorticosamente. Corteggiano le melodie. Sfidano le armonie. Improvvisano. E tornano, infine, alle canzoni.

Marta Raviglia e Simone Massaron stravolgono le canzoni e da esse si lasciano sconvolgere. Interpretano e reinterpretano per sopravvivere, non per celebrare. Si guardano dalla mera decorazione. Si guardano dal barocchismo poiché bramano il vuoto, lo spazio, il silenzio. Aspirano alla precisione del gesto. Alla sintonia del respiro. Laddove sfumano i confini del sentire. Laddove è il suono a dettare le strategie dei sentimenti.

Nel loro repertorio fanno convivere splendidamente brani originali, melodie d’altri tempi, intramontabili successi, romantiche arie antiche e cruenti blues.
